Hungary’s exports to member states of the Turkic Council (Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey and Uzbekistan) increased by 77% and the volume of trade with these countries doubled during the period - Péter Szijjártó said at a joint press conference with Baghdad Amreyev, the secretary general of the Turkic Council.

Áron Szilágyi once again won the Olympic title in the men’s individual sabre claiming Hungary’s first gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics. The victory meant Szilágyi became the first man ever to win three Olympic gold medals in an individual fencing discipline.
