After great qualifications for Euro 2024, the Hungarian national football team advanced to 26th place in the latest FIFA rankings. In the new ranking, the Polish national team also advanced from 30th to 28th place. The first place on the podium is taken by the Argentines, ahead of the French and Belgians.

On December 18, 1921 – three years after Poland regained independence and almost exactly two years after the establishment of the Polish Football Association – the Polish national football team played its first-ever official international match. The opponent was Hungary, a team considered one of the best in Europe at the time.

The Czech Republic did not waste their chance, and on November 20, they crushed Moldova 3-0 at home. In the Group E table, the Czech football team surpassed Poland by four points, securing their place in next year's European Championship in Germany (this marks the eighth qualification for the Czechs in Euro history). Consequently, it is now certain that at least three out of the four Visegrád Group countries—Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Hungary—will be represented at Euro 2024.

“I would like to announce, after consultations with the Polish Olympic Committee, with the minister of sport, and with the government, that our ambition and intention is to start efforts to organize the Summer Olympic Games in 2036,” President Andrzej Duda said in Zakopane.

Italy claimed a place in the Nations League final four with a 2-0 win away to Hungary on Monday. European champions Italy finished top on 11 points from six games, one point above second-placed Hungary who needed to avoid defeat to secure a place in their first Nations League finals.
