"Transylvanian Panorama" sketch in Tarnów's Panorama

On Saturday 29 June, the "Transylvanian Panorama " sketch will be exhibited by the "Panorama" gallery at Tarnów's train station. The oil painting by the author of the "Transylvanian ...", Jan Styka was created during a trip to Transylvania and preparations for a concept to depict the Battle of Sibiu.  It was purchased for the District Museum in Tarnów thanks to support from the Minister of Culture and National Heritage. The sketch depicts general Józef Bem with his staff. And that group of figures was included in the final form of the "Transylvanian ..." in a prominent spot.

The painting will be presented on the eve of the 90th anniversary of the remains of general Józef Bem, a hero of the Polish and Hungarian nations, being brought back to Tarnów.
