Prince William makes surprise visit to Poland

The heir to the British throne, Prince William, laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier on Thursday morning. At the Presidential Palace, he met with Andrzej Duda, with whom he talked about Polish-British relations, but also about humanitarian aid for the struggling Ukraine. "The Prince of Wales thanked the Poles for their generosity and hospitality" - the Chancellery of the President announced.


The son of King Charles III, made a rare, unannounced trip to Poland on Wednesday, meeting British and Polish troops stationed near the Ukrainian-Polish border and the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Mariusz Błaszczak.

On his second day in Poland, His Royal Highness laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. During a meeting with the President of Poland, Andrzej Duda, The Prince expressed his thanks to the Polish people for their ongoing generosity and hospitality in these turbulent times.

The trip concluded with a visit by The Prince to the Hala Koszyki Food Hall where he spoke to Ukrainian refugees and young Poles.
