„Your national holiday is a tribute to brave patriots, to the Polish people fighting for independence. By joining forces across the nation, Poland returned to the map of the world after 123 years and started shaping the fate of Europe as an independent state. It is my pleasure that Hungary could also contribute to Poland’s 20th century independence” – Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said in a letter to Mateusz Morawiecki on the occasion of National Independence Day in Poland.

Central Europe has benefited a lot from low taxes and “basing its policies on common sense” and has become one of the most attractive investment destinations in the world in recent years – said Péter Szijjártó, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, on Monday at the Polish-Hungarian Business Forum in Budapest.

– The countries of the Visegrad Group are the most important partner for South Korea in the European Union – Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said on Thursday at the meeting of the Visegrad Group (V4) in Budapest with the participation of the South Korean President Moon Jae-in. 

On Wednesday Prime Minister Viktor Orbán organized video conference with the Polish Prime Minister-Vice President of the Law and Justice party (PiS) Mateusz Morawiecki and the leader of the Italian Lega Nord party Matteo Salvini about the formation of a new European political group.

Wage growth in Hungary quickened to an annual 8.9 percent in August from 7.9 percent in the previous month, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) said on Friday.
