Poland and Germany will jointly create a rapid reaction force on the eastern border of the European Union, the two countries' defence ministers announced on March 18 at a joint news conference. On March 26, Poland and Germany will activate an “armor capability coalition” for Ukraine.

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg expressed confidence on Friday that Hungary's parliament would swiftly ratify Sweden's accession to the military alliance when it reconvenes at the end of February. - Sweden's membership will make NATO stronger and us safer - emphasized the head of the Alliance. - I hope that Hungary's ratification of Sweden's application to NATO is only a matter of time.

"We will strengthen military cooperation. We will hold joint military exercises.

The first Lynx infantry fighting vehicle to be built in-country in Hungary has now rolled off the assembly line in Rheinmetall’s production, development and test facility for armoured fighting vehicles in Zalaegerszeg - the defence minister Kristóf Szalay-Bobrovniczky said. 

The countries of the Visegrad Group (Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic and Slovakia) will continue to support Ukraine in defense against Russia as each country sees fit.

A year ago, after the Russian invasion on Ukraine, NATO defense ministers decided to create four new battlegroups in Bulgaria, Romania, Slovakia and Hungary.

Poland will spend 4 percent of its GDP on defense this year, becoming the largest contributor relative to its economy in NATO, the country’s Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki announced on Monday.
