Marek Kuchciński in Budapest: the European Union needs urgent reforms
Polityka

- In recent years, we have strongly experienced the importance of a deep Polish-Hungarian friendship. It is present in all major areas: parliaments, governments, local governments, institutions and organizations. We develop it because we are united by a common destiny that arises from a shared history, from a similar assessment of the present political reality and from a similar vision of the future of Europe. A similar assessment of the reality is not only about illegal migration and border defense. It is also a similar assessment of the European Union crisis – Marek Kuchciński said during his speech at the Fidesz Congress in Budapest on Sunday.

- The threat also comes from within the EU, in the form of imposing on us a superstate model with unacceptable axiological systems. That is why we reject the policy of ideological monopoly and unification of European nations. For us, the freedom of the nation and the sovereignty of the state are values - emphasized Marek Kuchciński during his speech in Budapest. Photo by MS

– There is a hybrid war on the eastern border of the union. We are in solidarity with Poland, but let's ask quietly: what has been going on on the southern border of Hungary since 2015? –  László Kövér asked rhetorically in his speech at the Fidesz Congress.

Marek Kuchciński, a politician from the Polish ruling Law and Justice Party (PiS), emphasized that the EU needed urgent reforms. He also said that, thanks to the Hungarian-Polish and V4 cooperation, Central Europe will remain strong. And he announced that European Conservative parties would discuss the future of the European Union in Warsaw in December.
