Viktor Orbán, on his first international visit since winning a fourth consecutive landslide election victory this month, spoke to the pope privately for about 40 minutes. The Hungarian PM said he had formally invited Pope Francis to pay an official visit to Hungary next year.

Lawmakers on Thursday adopted a political declaration on the war between Russia and Ukraine. "We condemn Russia’s military intervention, and stand by the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine" - we read in the document.

Leaders of UK, Hungary, Poland, Czech Republic and Slovakia met in London for summit about situation in Ukraine.
